Ada Zanditon

Spring Summer 2019

London born and based designer Ada Zanditon creates extraordinary couture for individuals to feel emboldened and be adorned with design that empowers their ability to express the spirit of who they truly are. Designing harnesses and accessories that act as ornate exoskeletons, she makes pieces that decorate the body and imbue the wearer with the energetic spirit of their inner warrior deity. Ada wishes to celebrate both interior and exterior without conforming to expectations of gender, size, or any other factor. This September, the London College of Fashion graduate will be showcasing her SS19 collection at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.

Inspired by the recent scientific discovery that pink is the oldest colour, Ada Zanditon introduces colour that reflects the most ancient life on earth, a contemporary Candy Land fantasy aesthetic, and our increasingly permanent digital future. The new pieces straddle the horizon between digital dreams and physical reality. Her luxurious handmade accessories combine unusual textures with an element of fetish yet maintain an innate elegance. Playing with both macro and micro, the SS19 collection uses hand cut manipulation to form opulent, organic silhouettes. Honing her modular construction techniques for years, Ada Zanditon’s pieces stand as sculptural masterworks both wholly unique and ornately precise. Every rivet is embellished with Ada’s favourite Preciosa crystals: MC Chaton Rose Maxima. Every crystal is able to reflect 264 unique rays of light. The pieces fall anywhere on the spectrum between silver and fuchsia. Every piece is hand-crafted in her East London Atelier with the finest possible materials.

For Ada Zanditon, the design process is akin to inventing. Each piece is an experiment, first cut as paper shapes and then combined to create forms, cut and hand-tooled to achieve the proper twist. Next each of the detailed ‘cells’ are placed and layered together. Craftsmanship is the first priority. Take such attention to detail from the designer herself: “I am not making for the everyday – I create ornate armour-like pieces for the most extraordinary moments of life where we are unconstrained by the banal and allowed to explore the connection between our body and soul.” By wearing Ada Zanditon, the individual becomes a conduit for such futurism geared towards true expression.
